CROPTOBERFEST: 1 WEEK TO GO!

Dear Croppers,

Just a friendly reminder that Camp Hammer has a few policies that they would like each of us to follow. These policies are listed in each of the cabins. Although we have been pretty great with following these rules, we just want to make sure that everyone remembers just a few key rules:

  1. This is a Christian Camp. NO alcohol allowed.
  2. Smoking is allowed ONLY in the designated smoking area. No smoking in the cabins, on patios or anywhere outside of this area please.
  3. NO food in your cabins please. There is a refrigerator downstairs (below DK Hall) that you can store your items in and a microwave in the Dining Hall. (For those of you who come with us to Camp Hammer each year, you know about our Raccoon friends.)

On that same note, we would also like to remind you of a few other things that might be important:

DRINKS

Pepsi is sponsoring our drinks and is providing us with a multitude of sodas from the Pepsi family – including Aquafina bottled water. Last year we had Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Pepsi Jazz and a few others. Please use the appropriate recycling bin for the disposal of your cans and bottles.

BEES

Just outside of DK hall is the recycling bins and garbage cans. That lovely sugar scent does attract bees so we try to keep the doors shut in DK Hall. We want to remind you about the bees in case you are allergic to them.

ALBUMS

Scrapbook Impressions will be joining us once again at Camp Hammer to do your album imprinting. If you want to have a head start on getting your albums done, you can print an order form and see their emblems at: http://scrapbookimpressions.org./Orderforms.html

MUSIC

Remember the old saying: You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. We’ve been trying for years to get the music just right. We have compiled songs from all over and have tried to put together a nice selection for all of you. Music will begin after breakfast each morning and will be played until 10pm each night. If you don’t like the music or you wish to still have music into the evening, you are welcome to bring your own headphones and listen to your music.

RAFFLES/SILENT AUCTION

ACS will be doing their $1 raffle again this year. They even have a bigger selection of prizes than last year. On Saturday night, ACS will also be hosting a silent auction again. Please bring your check books or cash as everything is tax deductible. What could be better? Tax-deductible scrapbooking supplies!

SALE AREA

Wouldn’t it be Murphy’s Law that you forget something important like a tape runner or paper? This year we have a few vendors that have put things together for a special sale area. The sale area will be in the front-center of DK Hall. There will even be a few areas hosting 50% - 80% off specials with items from $1 - $10.

MASSAGES

For those getting massages, please be sure to check your time slot and make sure you are on time to your schedule massage. We will post massage schedules throughout the main buildings and the massage rooms for your convenience.
